About the Summit

Knowing how to be ‘resilient’ has now become a critical component of destination management. Indeed, in the last year, the GTRCMC, located at The University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, has played an important part in making this connection. In the last five years, there have been several initiatives aimed at building the 'climate resilience' of destinations worldwide - Tourism Climatic Resilience. Many of these initiatives have reportedly contributed to advancing the objectives of the United Nation's Sustainable Goals (SDGs).
